The short version

Some outbound links to banks, credit cards, and financial products on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and sign up, the partner pays us a small commission. This is at no extra cost to you, and the partner's offer is the same whether you arrive through us or directly.

What we will never do

• Recommend a product because the commission is higher. Our recommendations are based on our own comparison, not partner payouts.
• Hide that a link is affiliate. Every article that uses affiliate links says so up front.
• Run display advertising (no Google AdSense, no Meta pixel). Your attention is not for sale here.

Current partner programs

We participate (or plan to participate) in affiliate programs run by Scotiabank StartRight, Tangerine, Wealthsimple, KOHO, Neo Financial, EQ Bank, Simplii Financial, PolicyMe, Borrowell, and Wise.

We disclose individual partnerships inline on each article that recommends a partner's product.

Editorial firewall

Editorial decisions (what to cover, what to recommend, how to rank options) are made independently of which products have affiliate programs. If a better product without an affiliate program exists, we'll say so and link to it directly.
